Description

This is a mount that attached to the bipod notch on the ’42 via a spring loaded trogger.  The mount has a pin on the bottom that may have mounted in a AA tripod or some other mount.

Most likely originally made for the Mg-3 but will work on a ’42 or M-53.  Could be adapted to a motorcycle or some other type of mounting situation.
