Allegheny Arsenal Parkerizing products are manufactured by Allegheny Arsenal, Inc. We also private label our products to other companies.
The Parkerizing is a Military Specification (Mil. Spec.) finish that is more durable, withstands abrasion and humidity much better than bluing.
Allegheny Arsenal Parkerizing is reusable, you don’t have to discard it after the first use. It is economical you mix the concentrate with water in a ratio of 1 to 28. (Our mix ratio is MUCH higher than any of our competitors.) You also don’t need a pre-blackener to get a true black finish, saving you additional money.
You can get a dark gray or black finish from our Manganese Phosphate kit depending on how long you leave the parts in the solution. We also produce a Zinc Phosphate kit that gives a light gray finish. Additionally we have Combo Kit that contains both Zinc and Manganese solutions so you can produce both finishes.
We provide all the chemicals and complete instructions in the kits. A pint of Parkerizing concentrate, 8 ounces of Cleaner Degreaser, 8 ounces of Neutralizer are included. You can refinish three to five long guns with the Home Parkerizing Kit. The only equipment that you need is a heat source that will bring the solution up to 175 to 200 degrees. (An outdoor propane grill works fine) A stainless steel or glass container to Parkerize in, a candy thermometer, and some stainless steel wire to hang small parts with.
This product can only be shipped via FedEx ground shipping. No air or U.S. Mail shipments on Parkerizing products. Sorry No sales to ALASKA or HAWAII as they have to ship by air.
