DV-40/11 Anleitung zur Instandsetzung des 7.62-mm Slebstladekarabiners – SKS Armorer’s Repair Manual. This 120 page East German manual explains the repair on the SKS semi-auto rifle in great detail. Troubleshooting is handled in depth, from simple things like the gun won’t feed, to how to properly headspace the bolt. As is typical with the East German repair manuals, dimensioned drawings and spring sizes are shown for the armorer to be able to make his own replacement parts. It even shows how to make the springs and lists annealing temperatures for them. This is a fine manual for repairing one of the million or so SKS rifles imported into the U.S. The above operator manual is recommended to be paired with the repair manual, as the repair manual doesn’t cover the basics contained in the operator manual. These
were made to be used as a set, as there is no duplication of information, and the reference names and part numbers are consistent in both manuals.
